David Kirby founded A-1 Hauling and Junk Removal in Wichita after operating a lawn care business for six years. Before becoming a business owner, he also worked as an account manager for Pepsi.
Through those experiences, David learned the importance of dependable service, clear communication and treating customers with respect. As a result, he built A-1 around a simple goal: help people clear clutter while providing a reliable local service they can feel comfortable using.

Not everything we collect needs to go to a landfill. Whenever possible, we look for ways to reuse, recycle or donate the items we haul away.
For example, usable furniture, appliances and household goods may be donated to local nonprofit organizations. Meanwhile, recyclable materials are separated whenever practical.
As a result, customers can clear their properties while helping reduce unnecessary waste. Although not every item can be reused, responsible disposal remains an important part of how we operate.
We understand that unwanted items do not always appear at a convenient time. Therefore, our crew is available seven days a week, including most holidays.
In many cases, same-day service may also be available. However, scheduling will depend on the size of the job, the pickup location and the availability of our trucks.
